Although we need to see your device to give you a definitive estimate, you should expect your repair to cost somewhere between $450 and $650. Data is retained in logic board repair unless the device has a firmware issue. We will contact you with data recovery options if this ends up being the case.


If your device has a prior repair attempt to the logic board, repair cost may be higher.

    Yes! Despite what Apple or another repair shop may have told you, logic boards can be repaired, and with logic board repair, you retain your data.

  • How much does MacBook Logic Board Repair cost?

    Typically between $100 and $450 depending on the year and model of the device and the issue at hand.

  • How long is the warranty for MacBook Logic Board repairs?

    We warranty all logic board repairs for 1 year from the date of completion. 

  • Is repairing a logic board better than replacing it from a reliability standpoint?

    Usually, yes! The thing about replacement logic boards is they are usually refurbished by large companies that care about volume, not quality. Here at TCRS, we care about quality above all else and make every effort to ensure your logic board will be working long into the future. 

  • I had another repair shop try and fix my logic board first, can you still help?

    Yes, but only for data recovery purposes. Generally when another shop works on a board first, it makes our job much harder. We can still help, however we do charge an attempt fee for boards worked on prior. 

  • What happens if my logic board is not repairable?

    If we find your logic board is not repairable, we'll offer you a replacement logic board which is typically more expensive than logic board repair. If you do not wish to proceed with logic board replacement there is no charges associated with our repair attempt as long as the board did not have a prior repair attempt from another company.
